No not that name you use to talk about that weird kid who eats nose bubbles. I’m talking about Phallliep….the strange exchange student you think is from France but your not quite sure.
I like this name because it’s a little French is you want it to be and I REALLY want it to be. I’ll be calling out PHALLIEP, GET YOUR CROISSANT!!!!
Also I chose it because it comes from the horse on beauty and the beast and I thought the horse was AWESOME!
According to Behind the name, the whole horse thing is very important. It states that “From the Greek name Φιλιππος (Philippos) which means “friend of horses”, composed of the elements φιλος (philos) “friend” and ‘ιππος (hippos) “horse”…..
So basically your setting your son to be called horse dude…..Nice!
No Phillip, your just like all the other kids….don’t worry about the fact you can crush them under your hooves…it’s their fault for not having any!
Cause bunks are da shit!!!!
As many of you know I have a thing about roommates. For the last two years I’ve had a total of five roommates and each one is different and strange in there own way.
As part of my unapologetic month (see previous post “not sorry”) I will tell you that the last two years have been challenging for me in terms of roommates. My freshman year was hard just because of the fact I had to share with two completely different people. Add the fact that I’m a little quirky in my own way and you have a recipe for a eventful and at times hard year. Needless to say, my freshman roommates moved on together in a new room and I got my new set of roommates.
My sophomore roommates were completely different. I was nice to them, but I knew from the beginning that I would never be friends with them and in turn moved on to build friendships elsewhere. In the end I ended having a terrible rooming situation of having two people I didn’t get along with and who didn’t seem to respect me and my living situation. So once I found my new and future housemate who set up a housing situation where I get my own room to listen to Kanye and eat tuna all day long I couldn’t stop gushing sunshine from my smiling face.
But before that I get to have a summer roommate who is one unlike any I’ve had before.
My summer roommate is first off one of those people who is all smiley and happy and wants to go on adventures with you just because….it’s so sweet its sicking. For the first time in my life I have engaged in “pillow talk” which is girly talk for staying up and gossiping while pretending you worry about getting up for work in the morning. It was AWESOME!
For teh first time I was able to just engage with a person I’m sharing a sleeping area with and not feel like I had to do it. Me and my summer roomie have the same weird sense of couple arguing which has the rest of the house scratch their house when we end up laughing like crazy. At the same time, we have different personalities that smash in just the right way. Its great! It’s like having a big sister who thinks I’m super cool to share a bunk bead with……yeah we have a bunk bed!!!
So now I have a great roomie and my future housemate who is still awesome and all bubble tea crazy. And for the first time in my life I look forward to arriving home and interacting with other people….well not all people……..only them.
So this is a thank you to my new roomies and a tip of a hat to my previous roomies who were…..life changing.
